COMPOSITIONS :

Each film coated tablet contains :

Paracetamol ……………………………………………………………..……..500 mg

Codeine phosphate………………………………………………………………………………………30 mg

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES :

Paracetamol: Analgesic and antipyretic
Codeine phosphate: Central analgesic

INDICATIONS :

Symptomatic treatment of moderate to severe pain and/or fever.

CONTRAINDICATIONS :

Hepatocellular insufficiency or a history of allergic reactions to paracetamol.
Respiratory insufficiency, of any severity.
Children under 15 years old (this formulation is intended for adults)

WARNING AND PRECAUTION :

The consumption of alcohol during treatment is not recommended.
Attention is required, especially for drivers of vehicles and users of machinery.
It is preferable to avoid using this medication during the first trimester of pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

SIDE EFFECTS :

They can manifest in the form of bronchospasm, respiratory depression, allergic skin reactions, dizziness, drowsiness, and constipation.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For adults and children weighing 15 kg or more (approximately 3 years old):

For adults:
1 tablet, to be repeated if necessary after 6 hours, or possibly 2 tablets in case of intense pain, without exceeding 6 tablets per day.
The maximum daily dosage of paracetamol is 3 g.
Doses should preferably be spaced 6 hours apart and at least 4 hours apart.
Elderly patients: The initial dose should be reduced by half compared to the dose recommended for adults, and may be increased if tolerated and necessary.
In cases of severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance less than 10 ml/min), the interval between doses should be at least 8 hours.
