THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES:
Norfloxacin is a new antibacterial agent chemically related to the quinolone family.
INDICATIONS :
For uncomplicated acute cystitis in women under 65 years of age,
For other lower urinary tract infections, including prostatitis,
For acute, recent gonococcal urethritis in men, without signs of dissemination,
For uncomplicated gonococcal cervical infection in women, without clinical signs of pelvic dissemination
CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Absolute:
- Hypersensitivity to quinolones
- Tendinopathy due to a fluoroquinolone (history)
- Children until the end of the growth period
- Breastfeeding

WARNING AND PRECAUTION :
In cases of renal insufficiency, the recommended dosage may be maintained as long as the creatinine clearance is above 30 ml/min. Below this threshold, the conditions for use and the dosage have not been established.
Avoid exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet radiation during treatment due to the risk of photosensitivity.
SIDE EFFECTS :
Digestive disorders: abdominal cramps, nausea, diarrhea, anorexia.
Skin manifestations: rash, pruritus, photosensitivity.
Neurological disorders: seizures, confusion, hallucinations, headaches, dizziness.
Hematological manifestations: hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, rarely leukopenia
DOSAGE
Oral route.
Uncomplicated acute cystitis in women: 800 mg per day in two doses for 3 days.
Other infections: 800 mg per day; the duration of treatment will be adjusted based on the pathology
CONSERVATION :
Store away from light and humidity.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Do not use after the expiration date on the package.
