COMPOSITION
Each sugar coated tablet contains :

THERAPEUTIC PROPRTIES
Diazepam is an anxiolytic belonging to the class of benzodiazepines.
INDICATIONS
- Reactive anxiety, particularly adjustment disorders with anxious mood and post-traumatic anxiety.
- Adjunctive treatment of anxiety in neuroses.
- Anxiety attacks.
- Prevention and treatment of delirium tremens.
- Muscle contractions.
- Pediatrics: prevention of febrile seizures.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- Known allergy to benzodiazepines.
- Decompensated respiratory insufficiency.

PRECAUTIONS :
Dependence: Any treatment with benzodiazepines can lead to physical and psychological drug dependence. Various factors appear to promote the onset of dependence, including:
- Duration of treatment, dose, association with other medications (psychotropics, anxiolytics, hypnotics), and alcohol use.
- In children, treatment should be of short duration, particularly.
SIDE EFFECTS :
Side effects are related to the dose ingested and the individual sensitivity of the patient.
- Anterograde amnesia, which may occur at therapeutic doses, with the risk increasing proportionally to the dose.
- Behavioral disturbances, changes in consciousness, irritability, aggressiveness, agitation.
- Physical and psychological dependence.
DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION :
Oral Route
Adulte :
- In routine practice: an average of 5 to 15 mg per day.
Children:
- 5 mg/kg of body weight per day.
- Duration of treatment should be limited to 8 to 12 weeks.
STORAGE
- Store away from light and moisture.
- Keep out of reach and sight of children.
- Do not use after the expiration date on the package.
