THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

Antiseptic (Dermatology use)
This is a bacteriostatic, non-bactericidal antiseptic, primarily active against Gram-positive bacteria and ineffective against Pseudomonas.

INDICATIONS

Adjunctive treatment of primary bacterial skin infections or conditions at risk of secondary bacterial infection.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Use on mucous membranes, particularly genital areas (risk of balanitis and erosive vaginitis)
  • Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
  • Children with a history of febrile or non-febrile seizures (due to the presence of terpene derivatives among the excipients)

PRECAUTIONS

  • Follow the recommended dosage and instructions for use carefully
  • Do not apply to large areas of the body
  • Do not apply to the breasts during breastfeeding
  • After application, wash hands thoroughly to avoid unintentional contact with the eyes

SIDE EFFECTS

  • Possible local allergic reactions
  • Application to the rectal mucosa may cause muscle atony, similar to that seen with curare-like agents
  • Risk of convulsions in infants and young children

-Possibility of agitation and confusion in elderly patients

DOSAGE AND METHOS OF ADMNINISTRATION

Cutaneous route (for external use only)

  • Apply 1 to 2 times daily as needed
  • Do not ingest
