COMPOSITION :

Each tablet contains :

• Clarithromycin (INN) ………………………………………………………..: 500 mg / 250 mg
• Excipients q.s ……………………………………………………………….:one tablet / one tablet

THERPEUTIC PROPERTIES

Antibiotics antibacterial from the macrolide family

INDICATIONS :

• Acute sinusitis when treatment with a beta-lactam is not possible.
• Exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.
• Community-acquired pneumonia.
• In combination with another antibiotic (amoxicillin or imidazole) and a secretory inhibitor, eradication of Helicobacter pylori in cases of gastroduodenal ulcer disease.

CONTRAINDICATIONS :

• Allergy to macrolides or to any of the components of the medication
• Alkaloids of rye ergot.

PRECAUTION AND WARNING :

• Cases of diarrhea associated with Clostridium difficile.
• Do not combine with other ototoxic medications, particularly aminoglycosides.
• In cases of severe hepatic insufficiency.

SIDE EFFECTS :

• Gastrointestinal disorders: nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, oral candidiasis, stomatitis, dizziness.

DOSAGE :

 Oral route for adults

• Acute sinusitis, exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia: 500 mg in a single dose, taken twice a day.
• Eradication of Helicobacter pylori in cases of gastroduodenal ulcer disease:
• Clarithromycin 500 mg morning and evening, combined with another antibiotic (e.g., amoxicillin or imidazole) and a secretory inhibitor, for 7 days.

CONSERVATION :

• Store below 30^oC, avoid light and humidity
• Keep out of reach and sight of children.
• Do not use after expiry date.
