COMPOSITION :
Each capsule contains :
- Triprolidine HCl………………………………….…..: 2,50 mg
- Dextromethorphan HBr…………………………………: 30 mg
Excipients : qsp…………………………………..…: one capsule
THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES :
- Triprolidine : Antihistamine
- Dextromethorphan : Central action antitussive.
INDICATIONS
Symtomatic treatment of bothersome non-productive coughs.
CONTRAINDICATIONS :
- Respiratory failure.
- Asthmatic cough.
- Allergy to active substances or any of the excipients
- MAOI-type antidepressants (Drug interactions)
- Breastfeeding.
IF CASE OF DOUBT, IT IS NECESSARY TO DEMAND TO YOUR DOCTOR
OR YOUR PHARMACIST.
PRECAUTION AND WARNING :
- It is illogical to combine an expectorant or mucolytic with a cough suppressant.
- If the cough persists despite a cough suppressant administered at a usual dosage, should not increase the dose but rather re-evaluate the clinical situation.
- The consumption of alcoholic beverages and medications containing alcohol (see interaction) during treatment is not recommended.
SIDE EFFECTS :
- Dizziness, drowsiness
- Nausea, vomiting, constipation
- Allergic reactions : such as pruritic rash, urticaria, angioedema, and occasionally, bronchospasm.
DOSAGE:
– Oral route
– Reserved for adults and children over 15 years old.
– One capsule per dose, to be repeated if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 4 doses per day.
CONSERVATION
- Store below 30oC, avoid light and humidity
- Keep out of reach and sight of children.
- Do not use after expiry date.
