ANXIODA 5 YELLOW

Diazepam : 5 mg

COMPOSITION :

Each tablet contains :

• Diazepam (INN) ……………………………………………………………….: 5 mg
• Excipients q.s ……………………………………………………………….:1 tablet.

THERPEUTIC PROPERTIES:

Anxioda is an anxiolytic belong to the class of benzodiazepines.

INDICATIONS

– Reactive anxiety, particularly adjustment disorders with anxious mood and post-traumatic anxiety.

– Adjunct treatment of anxiety during neuroses.

– Panic attacks.

– Prevention and treatment of delirium tremens.

– Muscle contractures.

– Pediatrics: prevention of febrile convulsions.

CONTRAINDICATIONS :

– Known allergy to benzodiazepines.

– Decompensated respiratory failure.

WARNING AND PRECAUTION :

– Dependence: any treatment with benzodiazepines can lead to a state of physical and psychological   pharmacological dependence. Various factors seem to promote the onset of dependence :

duration of treatment, dosage, association with other medications: psychotropics, anxiolytics, hypnotics,   association with alcohol.

– Particularly in children, the treatment must be in short duration.

– People with heart or respiratory problems often experience more suffocation or heart attack.

SIDE EFFECT :

They are related to the ingested dose and the individual sensitivity of the patient.

– Anterograde amnesia, which can occur at therapeutic doses, with the risk increasing proportionally to the dose;

– Behavioral disturbances, changes in consciousness, irritability, aggressiveness, agitation;

– Physical and psychological dependence.

DOSAGE :

 Oral route

Adult : In average 5 to 15 mg per day.

Child : 0.5 mg/kg of body weight.
