COMPOSITION
Each film coated tablet contains:
Cefixime trihydrate equivalent to Cefixime…….……………………………………………200 mg

THEARAPEUTIC PROPERTIES
Cefixime is an antibiotic from the beta-lactam family, belonging to the third-generation cephalosporin group.
INDICATION
- Acute bronchitis and exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
- Bacterial pneumonia
- Acute sinusitis and otitis
- Acute pyelonephritis without uropathy
- Complicated or uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections, except for prostatitis
- Gonococcal urethritis in men
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Absolute(s):
- Hypersensitivity to cephalosporin, beta-lactams, or any of the components.

WARNING AND PRECAUTION
- The occurrence of any allergic reaction requires discontinuation of the treatment.
- Cefixime may be considered for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding if necessary.
SIDE EFFECTS : - Diarrhea
- Nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, abdominal pain
- Headaches, dizziness
- Allergic reactions: transient rash, fever, itching, rare cases of anaphylactic reactions such as urticaria or angioedema
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Oral route
In adults and children over 12 years old: 2 tablets per day, taken 12 hours apart.
- For gonococcal urethritis: a single dose of two tablets
CONSERVATION
- Store below 30oC, avoid light and humidity.
- Keep out of reach and sight of children.
- Do not use after expiry date.
