COMPOSITIONS

Each 100 grams contains:

– Dexamethasone acetate: ……………………………………………………………………….50 mg

– Chloramphenicol :…………………………………………………………………………………….2 g

– Excipients : q.s. …………………………………………………………………………………..100 g

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

  • Active against certain inflammatory processes and the associated itching
  • Vasoconstrictor effect (anti-exudative)

INDICATIONS

  • Facial seborrheic dermatitis
  • Certain localized forms of eczema, particularly on the face and eyelids

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Primary bacterial, viral, fungal, or parasitic skin infections
  • Ulcerated lesions
  • Acne and rosacea
  • Known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the preparation

PRECAUTIONS

  • If local intolerance occurs, treatment must be discontinued, and the cause investigated
  • In the case of application to the eyelids, the duration of treatment should be limited

SIDE EFFECTS

  • On the face, corticosteroids may cause perioral dermatitis, or may induce or worsen rosacea
  • Reported adverse effects include:
  • Acneiform eruptions
  • Hypertrichosis (excess hair growth)
  • Depigmentation

DOSAGE AND METHOS OF ADMNINISTRATION

  • Apply no more than twice daily

STORAGE

  • Store away from light and moisture
  • Keep out of the reach and sight of children
  • Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the label
