THERAOEUTIC PROPERTIES :

Antihistaminique H₁.

INDICATIONS :

The therapeutic indications are limited to:

Symptomatic treatment of acute or chronic allergic manifestations, such as seasonal or persistent rhinitis, urticaria, angioedema, drug and serum reactions, and moderate local allergic reactions to insect stings.

CONTRAINDICATIONS :

Children under 6 years of age.
Treatment of acute asthma attacks.
Hypersensitivity to cyproheptadine or medications with a similar chemical structure.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding.

WARNING AND PRECAUTION :

Antihistamines should not be used in the symptomatic treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases, particularly during an asthma attack.
The consumption of alcoholic beverages during treatment is not recommended.
Increased intraocular pressure.
Cardiovascular diseases, including high blood pressure.
Possible decrease in intellectual sharpness due to antihistamines

SIDE EFFECT :

Drowsiness is the most common side effect. It is often observed at the beginning of treatment and may decrease after the first three or four days.

Central nervous system: sedation, drowsiness, confusion, agitation, excitement, nervousness, tremors.
Dermatological: allergic reactions such as rash and edema, sweating, urticaria, photosensitivity.
Senses: vision disturbances, dizziness, tinnitus.
Cardiovascular: hypotension, palpitations, tachycardia.
Hematological: hemolytic anemia, leukopenia.
Digestive system: dry mouth, epigastric pain, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, jaundice.
