LINCOMYCINE
COMPOSITION
Each capsule contains :
Lincomycin………………………………………………………………………500 mg
Excipients : q.s. ………………………………………………………………..One capsule
INDICATIONS
They are indicated for the following conditions:
- ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) conditions.
- Bronchopulmonary conditions.
- Stomatological conditions (related to the mouth).
- Dermatological conditions.
- Genital conditions.
- Osteoarticular conditions.
- Post-surgical abdominal conditions.
- Septicemic conditions.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
This medication should not be used in the following cases:
- Allergy to lincomycin or clindamycin.
- Meningitis (or infections of the meninges).
IN CASE OF DOUBT, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO SEEK
THE ADVICE OF YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST.
WARNING AND PRECAUTION
- Do not administer to individuals with colitis.
- Use with caution in patients with a history of asthma or other allergies.
- Pregnancy: Although no adverse effects on the course of pregnancy have been associated with lincomycin to date, its complete safety during pregnancy has not been definitively established.
- Breastfeeding: Lincomycin passes into breast milk
SIDE EFFECTS
- Digestive disorders:
- Abdominal pain, persistent diarrhea.
- Nausea, vomiting.
- Esophagitis (oral route).
- Hematological disorders: Leukopenia, agranulocytosis.
- Hepatotoxicity: Jaundice and liver function disruption.
DOSAGE
Oral administration:
- Adults: 1.5g to 2g per 24 hours.
- Children: 30 to 60mg/kg per 24 hours.
CONSERVATION :
- Store at a temperature below 30°C, protected from light and humidity.
- Keep out of reach and sight of children.
- Do not use after the expiration date on the box.
