THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES
Amoxicillin is an antibiotic belonging to the beta-lactam class, within the aminopenicillin group.
INDICATIONS
- Acute pneumonia
- Superinfection of acute bronchitis and exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
- ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) and stomatological infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Male genital infections and gynecological infections
- Digestive and biliary infections
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- Allergy to beta-lactam antibiotics (penicillins and cephalosporins) or to any of the other components

PRECAUTIONS
- As with all beta-lactams, regularly monitor the blood count when administering high doses of amoxicillin.
- In cases of renal insufficiency, adjust the dosage based on creatinine clearance or serum creatinine levels (refer to Dosage/Method of Administration).
- Low urinary output is a risk factor for the development of crystalluria.
SIDE EFFECTS
- Allergic reactions, including urticaria and respiratory discomfort
- Skin rashes
- Digestive disturbances: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMNISTRATION
Oral route.
This product is reserved for children and infants.
The oral suspension should be reconstituted by adding water up to the indicated line to obtain a total volume of 60 ml. Shake well before use.
For children and infants (over 30 months): 25-35 mg/kg per day in two doses.
For infants (under 30 months): 35-50 mg/kg per day in three doses, spaced 8 hours apart.
STORAGE
- Store at a temperature below 30°C, away from light and humidity.
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
- Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
