THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES
Anti-acne: macrolide
Antibiotic: macrolide / Infectiology Parasitology
INDICATIONS
Indicated for the following conditions:
- Tonsillitis as an alternative to beta-lactam treatment
- Acute sinusitis
- Superinfections of acute bronchitis
- Mild to moderate inflammatory acne
- Mild skin infections: impetigo, acne
- Stomatological infections
- Non-gonococcal genital infections
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Absolute:
- Hypersensitivity to macrolides

PRECAUTIONS
- Newborns under 1 month of age
- The widespread use of erythromycin during pregnancy has not shown any teratogenic or foetotoxic effects; however, breastfeeding should be avoided during treatment.
SIDE EFFECTS
- Nausea, vomiting
- Epigastric pain
- Diarrhea
DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRAION
Oral administration; taking before meals ensures optimal serum levels.
Adults: 2 to 3 g per day, in 4 to 5 doses.
Children: 30 to 50 mg/kg per day.
Acne: 1 g per day, in 2 to 3 doses for at least 3 days.
STORAGE
- Store in a dry place, away from light and humidity.
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
- Do not use after the expiration date on the package.
