Dear-N cream is indicated in the treatment of the following conditions:

  • Candidiasis of skin folds (e.g., genito-crural, anal or perianal intertrigo)
  • Interdigital candidiasis
  • Angular cheilitis (perlèche)
  • Vulvitis and balanitis
  • Secondary Candida infection of pre-existing dermatoses
  • Interdigital intertrigo (athlete’s foot)

Dermal Cream

COMPOSITION

 – Clotrimazole……………………………………………………………1% w/w

–   Betamethasone valerate (equivalent to Betamethasone) …….0.1% w/w

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

– Exhibits antifungal and antibacterial activity by causing complete lysis of fungal cells.

– Possesses vasoconstrictive properties, and inhibits cellular proliferation and synthetic processes in the dermis and epidermis.

INDICATIONS

Dear-N cream is indicated in the treatment of the following conditions:

  • Candidiasis of skin folds (e.g., genito-crural, anal or perianal intertrigo)
  • Interdigital candidiasis
  • Angular cheilitis (perlèche)
  • Vulvitis and balanitis
  • Secondary Candida infection of pre-existing dermatoses
  • Interdigital intertrigo (athlete’s foot)
  • Tinea infections
  • Erythrasma

CONTRAINDICATION

  • Known hypersensitivity to any of the components (including cross-sensitivity within related substances).

IN CASE OF DOUBT, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN.

PRECAUTION

  • In cases of candidiasis, the use of soaps with an acidic pH is not recommended, as such an environment promotes Candida growth.
  • If local intolerance develops, treatment should be discontinued and the cause investigated.

SIDE EFFECTS

  • Local reactions may occur, such as dryness of the skin, itching, local irritation, or a burning sensation shortly after applying the product, which usually subsides even with continued treatment.
  • These effects are of concern in the case of prolonged use, especially with potent corticosteroids.
  • On the face, corticosteroids may cause perioral dermatitis or may trigger or worsen rosacea.

DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

Apply locally twice daily, in the morning and evening, after cleaning and drying the affected area.
Gently massage the cream until it is fully absorbed.

Average duration of treatment:

  • Erythrasma: 1 week
  • Candidiasis (cutaneous or mucocutaneous): 1–2 weeks
  • Pityriasis versicolor: 2–3 weeks
  • Tinea corporis/cutaneous dermatophytosis: 2–4 weeks
  • Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis): up to 6 weeks

STORAGE

  • Store away from light and moisture.
  • Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
  • Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the label.
