NYSTATIN
COMPOSITION :
Each film coated tablet contains :
– Nystatine (INN)……………………………………………….. 500 000 I.U

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES :
Nystatin: A non-systemic antifungal agent.
INDICATIONS:
Treatment of digestive candidiasis, excluding esophageal candidiasis in immunocompromised patients.
Adjunctive treatment of vaginal and cutaneous candidiasis, to achieve sterilization of associated intestinal candidiasis.
Prevention of candidiasis in high-risk individuals: premature infants, immunocompromised patients, and those undergoing antineoplastic chemotherapy.
CONTRAINDICATIONS :
- In case of hypersensitivity to any of the components (or sensitization to the group).

WARNING AND PRECAUTION :
When administering Nystatin orally, avoid agents that modify intestinal transit, digestive protectants, and in general, any substances that could isolate the mucosa from the action of the active ingredient, as they may reduce the therapeutic efficacy of nystatin.
Therefore, the use of oral nystatin during pregnancy should only be considered if necessary.
No data is available on the passage of this medication into breast milk, but breastfeeding is possible.

DOSAGE :
Oral route should be divided into 3 or 4 doses, taken at a distance from meals. Adults and children over 15 years: 500,000 to 1 million IU per dose, 1.5 million to 6 million IU per day
CONSERVATION :
Store in a place protected from light and humidity.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
