DEXAMETHASONE

COMPOSITIONS :

Each tablet contains :

• Dexamethasone Acetate ……………………………………………… 0.5 mg
• Excipients : q.s. …………………………………………………………………… One tablet

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

Anti inflammatory steroids.

INDICATIONS

• Allergy : some of giant urticarial and anaphylactic shock.
• Dermatological : some forms of taxidermies and eczema
• Digestive : progressive to haemorrhage rectocolitis.
• Hematological : Chronic erythroblastopenia for adults and infants.
• Infectious : septic thrombophlebitis and typhoid fever (form grave)
• Neurological : myasthenia, cerebral edema.
• Ophthalmological : some of neuritis, optic papillitis.
• ENT : otitis, allergic rhinitis, acute sinusitis.
• Rheumatological : some of arthritis, polyarthritis.

CONTRAINDICATION

• All state of infectious by mycosis
• Case of progressive diseases cause by viruses (particular hepatitis, herpes, varicella, zona.)
• State psychotic
• Active gastroduodenal ulcer.
• Acute hepatitis
• Hyper sensibility one of any constituents.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:

• Using the medicines which are corticoid, need to particular surveillance especially elderly and in case colitis.

SIDE EFFECTS

• Digestive disorder : gastroduodenal ulcer, perforation and haemorrhage digestive, acute pancreatitis for infants.

POSOLOGIE

For Adults :

• Treatment attack : 0.005 – 0.2mg / Kg / day, i.e 6-24 tablets per day for adult 60kg of weights.
• Maintenance treatment : 0.5 – 1.5mg / jour, i.e 1-3 tablets daily.

For children : dosage is made by calculate the body weight of children

• Treatment attack : 0.075 – 0.3mg / kg / day, i.e 4 – 15 tablets daily for children 25kg
• Maintenance treatment: 0.03 mg / kg / day, i.e 1 – 2 tablets daily for children 25kg

STORAGE CONDITION

• Store below 30^oC, avoid light and humidity
• Keep out of reach and sight of children
• Do not use after expiry date.
