THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES
Topical corticosteroid-antibiotic combination therapy.
INDICATIONS :
- Atopic dermatitis, intertriginous eczema, acute eczema (cream), dry eczema (ointment)
- Weeping and exudative dermatoses responsive to corticosteroids
CONTRAINDICATIONS :
- Known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, especially Neomycin
- Do not apply in cases of leg ulcers, chronic non-healing wounds, pressure sores, acne, or rosacea
- Use under occlusive dressings is contraindicated in superinfected dermatoses

PRECAUTION :
Prolonged or inappropriate use over large areas may lead to:
- Adverse effects typical of systemic corticosteroid therapy
- Corticosteroid-induced dermatitis, which may become paradoxically more sensitive to corticosteroids, with rebound flare-ups upon discontinuation
In infants: Special caution is required due to the risk of spontaneous occlusion in skin folds and under impermeable diapers.
SIDE EFFECTS :
- Possible allergic contact eczema. Cross-sensitivity with other aminoglycoside antibiotics may occur
- The risk of adverse effects increases with larger treated surface areas, damaged skin, or use in infants
DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Gently apply a thin layer of the cream or ointment to the affected area and massage in lightly.
Typically, two applications per day are recommended.
Do not apply thick layers.
Treatment with Neo-Dipropione should be limited to one week.
