COMPOSTION
Iodinate povidone 10%, equivalent to 1% available iodine.
USES:

  • Antiseptic solution : A general term indicating that it kills or inhibits microorganisms
  • Topical antiseptic : Specifies it is intended for skin use
  • Germicidal solutions : Highlights its ability to kill germs
  • First-aid antiseptic : Indicated for the treatment of minor wounds

INDICATIONS

  • Superficial and minor burns or wounds
  • Skin antisepsis in the surgical field

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women

PRECAUTION
Use with caution in situations that may promote systemic absorption, particularly in children under 30 months of age.
WARNINGS

  • For external use only
  • Do not use in the eyes or apply over large areas of the body
  • In case of deep of puncture wounds, animal bites, or severs burns, consult a doctor
  • Discontinue and consult a physician in case of any adverse reaction
  • Keep out of the reach and sight of children
  • In case if accidental swallow, seek immediate medical attention or contact a poison control center
  • Possible side effect : May cause irritation or allergic reactions in sone individuals. Stop use if rash, itching, or swelling occurs
  • Special warning for people with iodine sensitivity or thyroid disorders : Iodine can affect thyroid function, especially in individuals with a history of thyroid problems or those receiving repeated applications. Always consult a healthcare professional and refer to regulatory guidelines for accurate recommendations

SIDE EFFECTS

  • Possible cytotoxicity on mucous membranes and deep tissues
  • Local skin reactions, such as caustic dermatitis and contact eczema

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For topical use only

  • Clean the affected area before application
  • For wound cleansing : Dilute 1 : 10 with water or sterile saline
  • For wound irrigation : Use at 2% concentration in sterile saline
  • Apply a small amount of the product to the area 1 to 3 times per day
  • May be covered with a sterile dressing
  • For preoperative use, follow medical instructions
  • Specify method of application as needed

STORAGE

  • Store at a temperature below 30oC, away from light and moisture
  • Keep out of sight and reach of children
  • Do not use after the expiration date printed on the box.
