COMPOSITIONS :
- Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2)……………………………..……. ………3% (V / V)
THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES
Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) is a strong oxidizing agent. In aqueous solution, it releases oxygen upon contact with organic material or catalase enzyme, causing effervescence. The released oxygen has:
- Antiseptic effect: Kills bacteria, viruses, fungi by oxidative damage to cell membranes, proteins, and DNA.
- Cleansing effect: Mechanical removal of debris and dirt due to effervescence.
- Deodorizing effect: Oxidizes odor-causing compounds.
