COMPOSITION

Each 5ml contains :

– Dextromethorphane HBr : 7.5 mg

– Phenylephrine HCl : 2.5 mg

– Chlorpheniramine maleate : 1 mg

– Guaifenesin : 50 mg

– Sodium Benzoate : 30 mg

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

Dextromethorphan: Centrally acting antitussive.
Guaifenesin: Reduces the viscosity of bronchial secretions.
Phenylephrine: Nasopharyngeal mucosal vasoconstrictor.
Chlorpheniramine: Antihistamine.
Sodium benzoate: Helps eliminate secretions in tracheobronchitis and laryngitis.

INDICATIONS

Indicated for the symptomatic treatment of non-productive, bothersome coughs and/or congestive symptoms associated with respiratory conditions, particularly of irritative or allergic origin (e.g., bronchial congestion, nasal obstruction, rhinorrhea, watery eyes).

CONTRAINDICATIONS :

Respiratory insufficiency
Asthmatic cough
Concurrent use of MAO inhibitors (MAOIs)
Children under 30 months of age
Pregnancy and breastfeeding

PRECAUTION

Caution is advised, particularly for individuals driving vehicles or operating machinery.
Alcohol consumption during treatment is not recommended.
Use with caution in cases of hepatic impairment and in elderly patients.
For syrup: Diabetic patients should consider the sugar content.

May include constipation, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, allergic skin reactions, and bronchospasm.

DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMNISTRATION

Treatment should not exceed 5 days.
