COMPOSITIONS :
Each tablet contains :
- Phenoxymethyl Penicillin pottasium equivalent to Phenoxymethyl Penicillin……………….. 500,000 I.U.
- Excipients : q.s. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………… One tablet
THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES
It is antibiotic belonging to the beta-lactam family, within the penicillin group.
INDICATIONS
It is limited to infections cause by definite sensitive germs:
For treatment :
- Tonsillitis (angina) caused by beta-hemolytic Streptococcus
- Mild cutaneous infections
For prophylaxis
- Prevention of rheumatic fever relapse (RAA)
- Recurrent erysipelas
- Individuals in contact with a case of scarlet fever
- Pneumococcal infections in patients who have undergone splenectomy
CONTRAINDICATION
- Allergy to beta-lactam (Penicillin and Cephalosporine)
- Methotrexate

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
- If allergic reactions occur, treatment should be discontinued immediately and appropriate medical intervention provided.
SIDE EFFECTS
- Allergic manifestations : fever, urticaria, angioedema (Quincke’s edema), anaphylactic shock
- Digestive disorder : nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, black tongue
- Reversible hematological reaction : Anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, coagulation disorder.
POSOLOGIE
For Treatment :
Daily dosage needs to divide in 2 – 3 times for treatment angina and in 3 – 4 doses for other indication :
- Adult : from 2,000,000 IU to 4,000,000 I.U. per day.
Treatment duration : for tonsillitis (Angina) only 10 days.
For Prophylaxis :
- Adult : from 2,000,000 IU per day. The prophylaxis needs to pursue at least 2 years after splenectomy.
STORAGE CONDITION
- Store below 30oC, avoid light and humidity
- Keep out of reach and sight of children
- Do not use after expiry date.
