COMPOSITION

Each 5 mL contains:

– Triprolidine HCl……………………………………: 2.5 mg

– Phenylephrine HCl…………………………………: 5 mg

– Chlorpheniramine maleate…………………………: 0.5 mg

– Dextromethorphane HBr………………………….. : 10 mg

– Excipients qs.……………………………………..: 5 mL

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

This medication combines:

Phenylephrine – a sympathomimetic agent acting as a systemic nasal decongestant
Chlorpheniramine maleate and Triprolidine HCl – H1-antihistamines
Dextromethorphan – a centrally acting antitussive

INDICATIONS

Symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion and excess nasal secretion associated with acute nasopharyngitis
Dry cough and irritative cough

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to any of the components, particularly antihistamines
Children under 6 months of age
History of stroke or risk factors for cerebrovascular events due to the alpha-sympathomimetic activity of the vasoconstrictor
Severe or uncontrolled hypertension
Severe coronary insufficiency
Risk of angle-closure glaucoma
Risk of urinary retention related to urethroprostatic disorders
History of seizures
Pregnancy and breastfeeding

PRECAUTIONS

Strict adherence to the recommended dosage and treatment duration (5 days maximum) is essential
Patients must be informed that in the event of:
High blood pressure
Tachycardia or palpitations
Cardiac arrhythmias
Nausea
Any neurological symptoms (e.g., new or worsening headache)
Treatment must be discontinued immediately
